Why hire a Wedding Day Coordinator? In a nutshell it’s because you don’t want to work on your wedding day. You want to be able to enjoy this once in a lifetime day and you want family and friends to be able to enjoy it too.

Couples hire us because we’ve “been there and done that”. We’ve been in the business since 2001. If something goes awry one of our professional Wedding Coordinators can deal with it, often without the couple even realising anything was wrong! A Wedding Coordinator is essentially you, if only you weren’t so busy getting married! We take care of the myriad of details you have worked so long and hard to put in place.

You’ve invested a lot of time and a lot of money in your wedding. Why leave things to chance? Could you delegate tasks to your family and bridal party? Of course, but shouldn’t the people closest to you be able to enjoy what is an important day for them too?

Recently, it was reported that with the growing trend towards using Wedding Coordinators, it is predicted that within 5 years the professional Wedding Consultant will be considered a standard service provider at every wedding.

In a recent survey, 72% of recently married brides who did not use a Wedding Coordinator for their weddings said that based on their experience, if they could do it over again, they would indeed hire a Wedding Coordinator to assist with the planning process, or at least to be on hand to supervise the wedding day itself. And 49% reported that if they could only change only one thing about the entire wedding, this would be the thing they would do differently!

Wedding Day Coordination includes:

→a meeting four to six weeks prior to the wedding to go over ALL of the details:
●At this meeting we will bring detailed worksheets to ensure that nothing is missed. We find out exactly how you envision things so that we can be looking through your eyes on the wedding day.
●We will develop a detailed itinerary which will then be distributed to relevant vendors, bridal party and family. This way everyone is literally on the same page.
●We will also collect all vendor contact information so that we can take care of vendor confirmations.
●These meetings generally last between two and three hours.

→vendor confirmations one to two weeks prior to the wedding:
●We will contact your vendors to confirm their arrival time, meal requirements, check outstanding balances, etc.

→attendance at and/or coordination of the rehearsal:
●We attend the rehearsal and if the officiant is unavailable we can coordinate the rehearsal.

→up to eight consecutive hours of service on the wedding day:
●at the ceremony – oversee set up and décor, ensure seating has been reserved for VIPs, coordinate the processional, assist with corsages and boutonnieres, ensure best man has rings and payment, ensure bride and bridesmaids have tissue, check for things like a pen for signing the register and a lighter for the unity candle, liaise with the ushers, generally ensure that things are running smoothly and on time.
●liaise with vendors to answer any questions they may have and distribute your final payments. Generally make sure that the vendors are taken care of and have the information they need to be able to do their job well.
●at the reception – coordinate set up and décor including guest book, centrepieces, cake knife, seating cards, gift table, favours, etc. Verify floor plan and number of guest seats at each table. Coordinate timing with the kitchen. Coordinate receiving line and introductions. Liaise with the MC. Secure gifts and envelopes. Provide the emergency bag. Take care of any issues as they arise and generally make sure that things are running smoothly and on time.
